Last year, Travis Scott dropped his highly-anticipated “Houston Oilers” Air Jordan 4, while hinting at additional projects, including a “Purple” pair given out to friends and family and an “Olive” colorway rumored for late 2018 release. That release never came to fruition, but here’s another look at the collab.
While the status of this potential retro release is unknown, several other Scott and Jordan Brand collabs have been rumored since then including an Air Jordan 33 releasing this month and Air Jordan 1s later this year. Last year we were treated with an Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 Olive aka another version of the Cactus Jack AJ 4’s, hoping that it will release to the public, but that won’t be happening anytime soon. According to sources, the Olive version is actually an unreleased sample that was supposed to be a Friends & Family pair.
The 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 4 is finally here, and to begin the celebration, a women’s exclusive Air Jordan 4 WMNS NRG Hot Punch is dropping soon. Sporting a real eye-catching colorway, the silhouette is covered in a hot pink hue across its patent leather upper with tonal netted mesh underlays on the sides. Contrasting hits of black and yellow are seen via speckled detailing added on the eyelets and midsole, while more pops of tonal black is featured on the tongue and heel area. Finally, a translucent outsole completes the loud style.
